Why do people divorce?

Addiction, now common in many parts of the United States thanks to opioids, illicit drugs and alcohol, for instance, also threaten relationships. Maybe most saddening is that many relationships end because of extending them long past their prime because of having children together.
In any case, a divorce is a life-changing decision, and it’s not something to take lightly.
